Four killed in Dadeldhura bus crash

Dadeldhura, October 16 — A night bus accident in Dadeldhura has resulted in the deaths of four people and left 12 others injured.
The bus, traveling from Mahendranagar to Purchaudi in Baitadi, crashed last night in Khasrekhan, Amarghadi Municipality-7, Dadeldhura.
According to Inspector Upendra Bahadur Bam from the district police office, two women, one man, and an infant died at the scene.
The deceased include 45-year-old Jaymati Bohara and her 20-year-old daughter Kamala Bohara from Purchaudi Municipality-3, along with Kamala’s son and 22-year-old Sahadev Bohara from the same area.
Inspector Bam stated that the bus driver, Birendra Bohara, is seriously injured and has been sent to Dhangadhi for treatment.
Other injured individuals are receiving care at Dadeldhura Hospital. Police suspect that the accident may have occurred because the driver fell asleep at the wheel.
