Karnali's prosperity on its own resources, PM says

Kathmandu - Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said means and resources of Karnali region should be utilized to make Karnali Province prosperous.
During a meeting with a delegation from Karnali Province led by Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi Sunday, PM Oli said the Karnali Province had immense potential despite its remoteness.
He also praised the Karnali Province government's decision to develop organic produces in the province and added that factories producing organic fertilizer would be promoted.

"Promote marketing by making every product of Karnali Province organic. The cattle have grazed on the pastureland with herbs. The price of goods produced from such cattle is costlier," PM Oli said.
Karnali's apple and Yarchagumpa are the major source of prosperity, Oli said adding that the organic apple grown in Karnali is needed to be commercialized in the international market.
It is the responsibility of the government to construct bridges, roads, technical schools and establish new cities in Karnali, he added.
