Certificate given to newly elected Vice President Pun

Kathmandu - The Election Commission has conferred the certificate on newly elected Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun. 
Chief Election Commissioner Dr Ayodhee Prasad Yadav handed over the certificate to Vice President Pun amidst a function in the Office of the Vice President this evening. 

On the occasion, Commissioners of EC, Secretary and other officials were present. 
Receiving the certificate, Pun said that the election to the Vice-President was the last episode of this time but remained historic one in regard to implementation of the constitution which he termed was received after the huge sacrifices. 
He also thanked the EC for conducting the polls efficiently this year. "This would be established as a cornerstone in Nepal's history," he shared his belief. 

The VP also hoped that the country would now head towards the path of economic development and prosperity. 
Earlier today, the EC announced Pun's reelection to the post of the VP and he was elected unopposed for the second term.
