Updates: Landslides halt traffic on several roads

Kathmandu, October 3 — Following continuous rainfall last Friday and Saturday, several roads remain blocked and have yet to be restored. Vehicles traveling over the Nakkhudol bridge in Lalitpur are still unable to operate today due to the road collapsing near the bridge.

In Ramachhap, the Sunkoshi River bridge in Manthali Municipality 6 and the Khaireni bridge in Khadadevi Rural Municipality 1 have collapsed, completely halting the movement of vehicles on the Khurkot-Manthali and Sindhuli, Nepalthok-Manthali routes.

Traffic has also been affected due to the collapse of a bridge connecting Rautamai Rural Municipality 5 in Udaypur and Khotang's Khothehang Rural Municipality 11 along the Sagarmatha Highway.

On the Mechi Highway, the Bailey bridge over the Hewakhola connecting Phidim Municipality and Hilihang Rural Municipality in Panchthar has been swept away by flooding, halting all movement.
