Monsoon-induced disasters: Death toll climbs to 232

Kathmandu, October 2 — Recent monsoon-induced disasters have resulted in the deaths of 232 people. According to the Nepal Police, 23 individuals are still missing, and an additional 165 people have been injured.

So far, the police have rescued 17,031 individuals from the affected areas.

Due to the heavy rainfall, various locations are experiencing road blockages, and efforts are ongoing to clear the roads.

The police have urged travelers to contact the district police office before embarking on long journeys.
