UML calls Secretariat and Parliamentary Party meetings

Kathmandu, October 1 — The CPN-UML has called separate meetings for its Secretariat and Parliamentary Party. According to party leaders, the Secretariat meeting is scheduled for 11 AM, while the Parliamentary Party meeting will take place at 12 PM.

Dr. Bhishma Adhikari, the secretary of the UML Central Office, informed that the Secretariat meeting will be held at the Basera Hotel near Singhadurbar. He noted that the meeting was relocated there due to damage caused to the Central Office from the floods that occurred last Saturday.

Additionally, MP Thakur Gaire mentioned that the parliamentary party meeting will take place at Singhadurbar.

It is reported that both meetings will include Chairperson Oli, who is also the Prime Minister. He is expected to provide necessary directives regarding his recent visit to the U.S., the damages from the floods and landslides, and topics related to relief, rescue, and reconstruction efforts.

One MP mentioned that the parliamentary meeting may decide to contribute some funds from MPs' salaries to the relief fund for victims of the floods and landslides.
