Jhyaple Khola landslide: Death toll reaches 28, relatives arrive at scene

Dhading, September 29 — Relatives of those who lost their lives in the Jhyaple Khola landslide in Dhunibesi Municipality-9, Dhading, have arrived at the scene. A total of 11 relatives of the deceased have reached the location.

According to the police, they have provided details including names for identification. 

So far, 28 bodies have been recovered from the buried vehicles, with the bodies found on Saturday and Sunday.

Approximately 100 security personnel have been deployed at the scene, and three excavators are currently working to clear the landslide.

The search for the bus and the bodies continues, and both sides of the road are blocked due to ongoing landslide removal efforts.

It is reported that clearing the landslide from this location will take time, and traffic on the Prithvi Highway to Kathmandu is currently halted due to the landslide.
