Jhyaple Khola landslide update: 27 bodies retrieved
Kathmandu, September 29 — A total of 27 bodies have been recovered from buses buried under the landslide at Jhyaple Khola. Teams from the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force are currently working to clear the landslide below Nagdhunga.
According to Dhadhing Police Chief Gautam KC, 14 bodies were recovered yesterday, and 13 more were found this morning.
It is estimated that around three buses have been completely buried by the landslide. Heavy machinery, including dozers and excavators, is being used to remove the debris.
The landslide, which originated from above, has reportedly damaged seven vehicles. Security personnel have been deployed to facilitate the recovery of additional victims and to clear the area.
