Jhyaple Khola landslide update: Death toll reaches 24
Kathmandu, September 29 — Ten more bodies have been recovered from vehicles buried in a landslide at Jhyaple Khola in Dhunibeshi Municipality-9, Dhading.
Assistant Spokesperson of the Armed Police Force (APF), Shailendra Thapa, informed that the recovery included eight men and two women.
Earlier, 14 bodies were retrieved on Saturday night.
With this, the death toll from the landslide that occurred on Saturday has risen to 24, according to the APF.
It has been reported that buses and microbuses were buried in the landslide, and rescue operations are still ongoing.
