Two missing in Dhading landslide
Dhading, September 27 — Two individuals have gone missing following a landslide in Dhading. The incident occurred in Gajuri Rural Municipality-2 while they were fishing in the local river.
According to the District Police Office in Dhading, the missing individuals took shelter from the rain in a cave near the Tapi River while fishing. They were caught in the landslide that struck around 5 PM on Friday. Pralhad Silwal, information officer at the District Police Office, provided details about the incident.
The missing individuals have been identified as 40-year-old Janata Chepang and 20-year-old Santa Chepang, both from Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-6. Upon receiving news of the landslide, police teams were dispatched for search and rescue efforts but have not yet located them.
Search operations were suspended due to nighttime conditions but are set to resume early Saturday morning, according to Silwal.
