Protesters demand release of Durga Prasain (with photos)

Kathmandu, September 23 — A protest was held on Monday demanding the release of medical enterpreneur Durga Prasain. Members of the National Campaign for the Protection of the Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture, and Citizens demonstrated at Maitighar in Kathmandu.

Prasai was arrested on Sunday in Bhaktapur. The Kathmandu District Court has granted a three-day extension for further investigation.

On September 19, the district court had authorized his arrest, following a complaint filed against him under the Electronic Transactions Act at the Cyber Bureau.
