Oli and Modi scheduled to meet on September 22
Kathmandu, September 21 — Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is in the United States to participate in the United Nations General Assembly, has a meeting scheduled with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to Modi's office, the meeting with Prime Minister Oli is set for September 22 at 5:30 PM local time (which is 3:45 AM on September 23 in Nepal). However, the time is marked with a star, indicating that there may be some adjustments, but the sideline meeting is almost confirmed.
Recently, due to Prime Minister Oli's comments on the EPG and border issues, relations with India have soured. Sources indicate that Prime Minister Modi wants to clarify these matters during their meeting. This discussion is expected to significantly influence the future of Oli's relationship with India.
On September 19, both Nepal and India remained neutral during a vote at the UN regarding a proposal for Israel to withdraw from the Palestinian territories it occupies.
