President Paudel urges unity and hope on Constitution Day
Kathmandu, September 19 — President Ramchandra Paudel stated that now is not the time for negative comments about the country. While addressing an event at Shital Niwas on the occasion of Constitution Day on Thursday, he emphasized that this is not a time to be disheartened.
President Paudel highlighted the importance of unity and self-confidence in the current period. He urged everyone to light a lamp of hope within themselves and stressed the need to focus on ending disorder and irregularities. He lamented that such issues have eroded trust in every aspect of our state. He also emphasized the need for a strict commitment to zero tolerance for corruption.
He stated, “Today, we must resolve to implement zero tolerance for corruption rigorously. As we celebrate Constitution Day with enthusiasm and excitement, let us ignite a new lamp of hope within ourselves. This is not a time to be disheartened. It is not a time for accusations and counter-accusations among us. It is not a time for negative remarks about our country. This is a time for unity and self-confidence.”
President Paudel mentioned that as the nation moves forward on the path to prosperity, it is essential to make the state more democratic and people-centered. He also highlighted the need to connect political changes with the lives of citizens.
