Meteorologists predict mixed weather conditions across Nepal
Kathmandu, September 19 — The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has informed that the influence of monsoon winds, along with a low-pressure system located near northeastern Madhya Pradesh and southern Uttar Pradesh in India, means there is still a possibility of rain across the country.
The low-pressure line of the monsoon is situated to the west and slightly north of the average location, and to the east, it lies to the south of the average position. As a result, the department forecasts partial to generally cloudy conditions in the hilly regions of the country, while other areas will experience partial cloudiness with mostly clear weather.
According to meteorologist Sudarshan Humagain, there will be a normal influence of the monsoon today, but rain is expected tomorrow, Friday. "There is no significant chance of rain today, but tomorrow, light to moderate rainfall is likely in some areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces," he stated. Today's maximum temperature in Kathmandu is expected to reach 31 degrees Celsius, with a possibility of light rain in the valley.
The weather bulletin indicates that today there will be partial to generally cloudy conditions in the hilly regions, while other areas will be mostly clear. In a few places in the hilly areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, there may be light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.
Tonight, the weather in the hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces will shift from partial cloudiness to mostly clear conditions, with the possibility of light to moderate rain in one or two places in those hilly areas.
