Deuba praises Gagan for latter's cooperative insights

Kathmandu, September 18 — Sher Bahadur Deuba, the president of the Nepali Congress, claimed that his party's General Secretary, Gagan Kumar Thapa, won after the cooperative inquiry committee submitted its report.

During the launch of a month-long special campaign at the party's central office in Sanepa on Wednesday, Deuba mentioned that he was surprised when the report was presented in the assembly, even though he initially did not believe Thapa's claims about the cooperatives. He praised Thapa for thoroughly studying the topic before speaking about it.

“General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has studied the cooperative issue extensively. I want to thank him; I truly didn’t believe it at first,” he said.

Deuba also noted that evidence has confirmed Rabi Lamichhane's involvement in cooperative fraud.

“I was shocked to learn what kind of person Rabi Lamichhane is; he is indeed clever. Thank you for your victory,” he remarked.

Addressing the event, Deuba directed everyone to focus on expanding the party organization in the districts and resolving local disputes.
