Negative comments about immigration should be over-Thapa

Kathmandu - Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has directed the Department of Immigration and its subordinate bodies to immediately run reforms to wipe out their shortcomings. 
Issuing directives to the DoI staffers after observing the Department today, Minister Thapa said the Department should work to wipe out complaints about some staffers indulging in illegal activities. "As it (immigration) is a matter related to security of the country, it should be taken seriously," he said. 
Reforms of this sector will improve security as well as stability of the country, the Home Minister said while pledging all required support from the Ministry is making DoI in par with that of developed countries in the next five years. "Perform the way you would want the immigration to treat you after you retire," he told the employees. 
On the occasion, Home Minister Secretary Mohan Krishna Sapkota and Director General of the Department of Immigration Dipak Karki apprised Minister Thapa about the state of affairs and functioning of the Department.
