Dengue spreads to all 77 districts, cases exceed 6,000
Kathmandu, September 1 — The number of dengue cases across Nepal has now surpassed 6,000. According to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD), a total of 6,347 people has been infected with dengue since mid-January.
The count was 5,589 on August 27 and it had increased by 758 cases by August 30, reaching 6,347.

Dengue is a viral illness transmitted by the Aedes mosquito, which bites primarily in the afternoon. The virus spreads from one person to another through these infected mosquitoes.
Health experts recommend avoiding mosquito bites as the best preventive measure against dengue. They advise taking precautions to reduce exposure to mosquitoes to minimize the risk of infection.
