Dumre-Besisahar road blocked due to landslides

Lamjung, September 1 — The Dumre-Besisahar road has been blocked due to landslides caused by heavy rain this morning.

Information Officer Thaneshwar Chapain from District Police Office Lamjung informed that the landslide occurred at Udipur of  Besisahar Municipality-1, resulting in significant mud and debris obstructing the road.

Efforts to clear the debris has been hampered by ongoing rainfall. As a result, vehicles are stranded and unable to pass.

Landslides have become a recurring issue in this area over the past three years, causing frequent disruptions.

Travelers heading to and from Tanahun, Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, and Manang are experiencing delays.

The road has been blocked multiple times since the monsoon season began, causing considerable inconvenience to passengers.
