Devotees flock to Patan Krishna Temple for Janmashtami (photos)

Lalitpur, August 26 — Devotees are flocking to the Krishna Temple in Patan, Lalitpur, to celebrate Shri Krishna Janmashtami. The temple has been bustling with worshippers since the morning.

Vedic Sanatan Hindus are marking 'Shri Krishna Janmashtami' today across the country with dedicated prayers to Lord Krishna.

Celebrated on the midnight of Bhadrakrishna Ashtami in Dwapar Yug, this day is known as 'Shri Krishna Janmashtami,' and the night is referred to as 'Moharatri.'

Traditions include worshiping Lord Krishna, delivering sermons, chanting hymns, and staying awake throughout the night in Krishna temples nationwide.
