Prachanda paid a courtesy call on Indian Prez Murmu

New Delhi: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', who is on an official visit to India, paid a courtesy call on President Draupadi Murmu. Prime Minister Prachanda met President Murmu today at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi.

On that occasion, President Murmu and Prime Minister Prachanda discussed the centuries-old mutual relations between Nepal and India and various issues of bilateral interest. Similarly, there was a discussion between them about strengthening the traditional relationship between the people of the two countries.

Prime Minister Prachanda attended the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Modi on Sunday evening. After swearing in, there was a meeting between Prime Minister Prachanda and his counterpart Modi.

In that meeting, the Prime Minister congratulated Prime Minister Modi for assuming the office of the Prime Minister of India for the third consecutive term and expressed his belief that the relations between Nepal and India will reach a higher level during his upcoming tenure.

Prime Minister Prachanda attended the dinner hosted by President Murmu on Sunday evening. Prime Minister Prachanda left for New Delhi, India on Sunday.

Prime Minister Prachanda is accompanied by his daughter Ganga Dahal, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Padam Giri, Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal and other high-ranking government officials. Prime Minister Prachanda is scheduled to return home Monday evening.
