Satish Singh appointed as Madhesh CM

Birgunj: Satish Singh has been appointed as the Chief Minister of Madhesh Province. Province Head Sumitra Singh Bhandari appointed Singh as the Chief minister of Madhesh. Singh is the parliamentary party leader of Janamat Party in Madhesh Assembly.

Singh was appointed as the Chief Minister under the article 168 (2) of the Constitution Of Nepal. Newly appointed Chief Minister Singh informed that he has received appointment letter from the office of the Province Head. The swearing-in ceremony is due in few hours.

Singh had staked claim for the position of Chief Minister with the support of 55 provincial assembly members from six parties. He is supported by CPN UML, Maoist Center, Unified Socialist, Nagarik Unmukti and Nepal Federal Socialist Party.
