Swearing-in of Madhesh government today

Birgunj: The ministers who will be part of the government under the leadership of the Janamat Party in the Madhesh province have been confirmed. Following the submission of claims for government formation to the office of the provincial chief, the names of the ministers forming the government have been finalized by six coalition partners.

Maoist provincial MP Yuwaraj Bhattarai stated that the names of the ministers who will participate in the swearing-in ceremony at the provincial chief's office at 12 o'clock have been confirmed. He mentioned that, apart from the Janamat Party, the parties have settled on the names of 10 ministers for the government led by Satish Singh.

Regarding the ministerial appointments, the CPN-UML has decided to retain its previous ministers in the new government. Deputy leader of the UML Madhesh Parliamentary Party, Dipendra Thakur, announced that the UML would partake in the government under the leadership of Saroj Yadav, the parliamentary party leader.

The UML has designated Saroj Yadav as the Minister of Physical Infrastructure Development and Transport Management, Pramod Jaiswal as the Education Minister, Shatrughan Singh Koiri as the Health Minister, and Rajkumar Lekhi as the Minister of Youth and Sports. Meanwhile, the Maoist Center has decided to appoint two ministers under the leadership of Bharat Shah.

Bharat Shah is slated to become the Finance Minister, while Yuwaraj Bhattarai will serve as the Tourism Minister. However, the Janamat Party has decided that only the Chief Minister and one State Minister will take the oath from their party. Shatish Singh from Janamat mentioned that the ministerial appointment is pending due to the absence of the party president CK Raut, who is currently in the USA.

Singh stated, "The ministerial appointments will be finalized upon the return of the party president, after which it has been agreed within the party that they will be sworn in." Nevertheless, today, Ranju Khang Mandal will be sworn in as the state minister alongside Singh as the chief minister. Additionally, the Unified Socialist Party has decided to reinstate the ministers who served in the previous government, with party leader Gobinda Neupane representing the party in the new government.

The Unified Socialist Party has chosen Govind Neupane as the Minister of Agriculture and Bechu Lungeli as the Minister of Energy. Similarly, the Federal Socialist Nepal Party has nominated Urmila Chaudhary as the Minister of Labor and Employment, and Bimala Ansari as the Minister of Home Affairs and Communications.

If there are no disputes regarding the appointement of ministers, preparations are underway to administer the oath to all ministers today. However, in the absence of mutual agreement, arrangements are being made for the swearing-in of one minister each from the coalition partners, as stated by a UML member.
