Hearing concludes in Agni Sapkota case
Kathmandu: The hearing of the case filed in the Supreme Court against Agni Prasad Sapkota, vice president of the Maoist Center and former Speaker of the House, regarding the murder of Arjun Lama of Kavre, has concluded. The hearing ended on Wednesday in the full bench of Chief Justice Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha, Prakashman Singh Raut, Sapna Pradhan Malla, Prakash Kumar Dhungana and Kumar Regmi.
The information officer of the Supreme Court, Gobinda Ghimire, informed that the final hearing of the case was over today and the verdict is yet to come. The Supreme Court may set a day for issuing a summary order or verdict today.
Arjun Lama's wife Purnimaya Lama had filed a writ at Supreme Court in November 2012 demanding an order to investigate Sapkota along with Maoist leader Suryaman Dong. Other Maoist activists Yadav Paudel, Bhola Aryal, Karnakhar Gautam and Norbu Moktan were made the accused in Arjun's murder.
