Madhesh Province CM Yadav faces vote of confidence today

KATHMANDU: Madhesh Province's Chief Minister, Saroj Kumar Yadav, is gearing up for a crucial vote of confidence scheduled for Tuesday.

The provincial assembly will convene at 1 pm today for this significant event, as announced by Speaker Ram Chandra Mandal.

Following recent political changes at the federal level, the Nepali Congress withdrew its support from the provincial government, prompting CM Yadav to seek a vote of confidence for the fourth time during his 15-month tenure.

In the 107-member provincial assembly, CM Yadav needs the backing of at least 54 lawmakers to secure his position as Chief Minister.
