NC threatens parliamentary disruption over fraud investigation demand

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC), the main opposition party, has announced its plan to disrupt parliamentary sessions unless a special committee is formed to investigate an alleged cooperative fraud case.

In a meeting today, NC claimed that Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane is directly involved in the alleged fraud.

NC warned the government that if their demands aren't met, they will take action to halt parliamentary proceedings.

Ramesh Lekhak, a key NC member, stated, "While NC doesn't want to disrupt parliament, we will if needed. The government will be responsible for any consequences."

This highlights the growing tension between the ruling party and the opposition, raising concerns about the smooth functioning of parliament.
