Mahashivaratri: Over 4,000 security personnel deployed at Pashupati Area
KATHMANDU: In preparation for the Mahashivaratri festival being observed today, the Kathmandu Valley Police Office has deployed over 4,000 security personnel in the Pashupati area.
An integrated special security plan has been implemented for the festival, with three layers of security arrangements in place.
Senior Superintendent of Police Dinesh Raj Mainali, the office spokesperson, revealed that drones have also been mobilized to enhance security measures.
The security personnel have been on duty from Thursday night and will remain active until Saturday to ensure the safety and security of devotees and visitors.
Heading the security mobilization is Superintendent of Police Nabaraj Adhikari from the District Police Premises Kathmandu.
Furthermore, emergency and rescue teams, along with ambulances, are on standby to respond promptly to any unforeseen circumstances or emergencies during the festivities.
