No signs of rape in Salin Pokharel's post-mortem examination, authorities say
KATHMANDU: Authorities have confirmed that the post-mortem examination of Salin Pokharel from Chitwan revealed no signs of rape.
The 14-year-old's body underwent examination at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu.
Officials involved in the process stated there was no evidence of sexual assault.
Salin Pokharel was found hanging from a fan in a hostel at Shishu Niketan Boarding School in Ratnanagar Municipality-12 last Saturday.
Concerns of possible rape and murder arose among relatives upon the discovery of her body.
As a result, the Principal, Vice-Principal, and hostel warden of the school were apprehended following a complaint filed by the deceased's relatives.
