Nepal secures victory over Netherlands by six wickets in T20 showdown

KATHMANDU: Nepal celebrated a resounding victory against the Netherlands, clinching a six-wicket win in a crucial T20 match.

Facing a target of 120 runs, Nepal confidently chased down the total, reaching the milestone with two wickets to spare in just 15.2 overs.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, the Dutch side struggled against Nepal's bowling prowess, managing only 120 runs in their allotted 20 overs.

Pratish GC led Nepal's bowling attack, taking three wickets, supported by Karan KC and Kushal Malla with two wickets each.

Despite early dismissals of key Dutch players, Nepal's batsmen showed determination. Gulsan Jha contributed 38 runs, while Captain Rohit Poudel's stellar performance of 46 runs guided Nepal to a well-deserved victory.

V Kingma of the Netherlands proved to be a challenge, claiming three crucial wickets against Nepal. Though Nepal's opening batsmen Kushal Bhurtel and Aarif Sheikh fell early, the team rallied together to secure the win.
