NA election begins, results to be published today (with photos)

KATHMANDU: Elections for the 19 seats of National Assembly falling vacant from March 4 kicked off from 9 am this morning in all the seven provinces.

As many as 51 candidates representing eight political parties are contesting in the election. 

There are a total of 2,047 voters including 549 province assembly members and 1,498 mayors, deputy mayors, chairperson and vice chairperson of municipalities and rural municipalities.

The poll body has stated that the results of the election will be available by later this evening.
