Durga Prasai registers writ of Habeas Corpus

KATHMANDU, Nov 24: Durga Prasai, who is currently leading the ‘Great Campaign to Save the Nation, Nationalism, Religion, Culture and Citizens’ campaign, registered the writ of Habeas Corpus in the Supreme Court on Friday after the Police stopped him in his own residence.

Senior Advocate Dr. Surendra Bhandari registered the writ on behalf of Prasai which will be heard on Sunday.

Prasai, who organized a protest demonstration in Balkhu of the Capital, was preparing to demonstrate in Tinkune today, which the local administration has controlled as no permission has been given to demonstrate in Tinkune.

Prasai has not been allowed to get out of his residence, and according to the District Administration Office, he has been requested to remain in his house for his own security.
