SC Judges including Chief Justice providing their 7 days’ salaries to quake victims
KATHMANDU, Nov 8: The Judges of the Supreme Court including Chief Justice Bishowambhar Prasad Shrestha will be providing their 7 days’ salaries as an aid to the Jajarkot earthquake victims. The decision was made by the Supreme Court meeting held on Wednesday.
Issuing the notice of the Supreme Court in a press release, the co-spokesperson Govinda Prasad Ghimire informed of the decision of the Supreme Court.
The meeting also decided to give High Court Judges’ 5 days’ salaries, and District Court Judges’ 3 days’ salaries as aid to the quake victims, it is mentioned in the press release.
Similarly, it has also been decided to provide 3 days’ salaries of special class employees, 2 days’ salaries of officers and 1 day’s salaries of other employees of courts, to the quake victims.
According to co-spokesperson Ghimire, it has been decided to provide a total of 15 million as aid to the quake victims with around 3.8 million from the side of the Judges of all 3 levels and 11.2 million from the side of the employees.
