60 kg gold smuggling case: Debate of Lawyers on behalf of defendants completed

KATHMANDU, Oct 6: In the recent case of smuggling of 60 kg 716 grams of gold, the debate of the lawyers on behalf of the defendants has been completed, Information Officer of the District Court Kathmandu Deepak Dahal told Ratopati.

Now, three government attorneys including District Attorney Janak Prasad Ghimire, will be answering the debate in the bench of the District Court Kathmandu Judge Madhav Prasad Mainali.

After the debate from the side of the government attorneys, an order will be given on whether to release the defendants on bail or send them to prison for a pre-trial detention.

Currently, 26 people are in police custody in the case.
