Congress taking opinion of academicians today to discuss School Education Bill
KATHMANDU, Sep 27: The Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party is holding discussions with academicians today, regarding the School Education Bill. The Congress parliamentary party is going to hold the discussions at 1 pm on Wednesday, today, at the Lotse Hall of the federal parliament building in New Baneshwar.
Academicians Bidhyanath Koirala, Janardan Nepal, Dhananjaya Sharma, Rajendra Dahal, the Director General of the Education Department Dipak Sharma and the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Education Hari Lamsal have been called for the discussions.
On Tuesday as well, the Nepali Congress discussed the Education Bill with the concerned bodies. Members of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly from Congress have also been present in the discussions held. The teachers are protesting against the Education Bill registered in the parliament by the government. Although a 6-point agreement between the government and the teachers was made, the movement of the relief teachers is still continuing. The Congress has made a commitment from the central committee meeting to take an initiative to make the bill universally accepted.
