"Mayor Balen has not come to negotiate" - Activist E:

KATHMANDU, Sep 25: Activist E: has said that Mayor Balen did not come to the National Assembly Hall for negotiation as claimed by Kathmandu's Mayor Balen Shah. He says this in response to the Mayor after he claimed that the activists did not want to negotiate with him.

E: has been standing in front of the National Assembly Hall for seven days to remind Mayor Shah of the promises he made in the election. He mentions that a Metropolitan City police officer suddenly called them to the parking lot of the NA Hall while scolding them.

"The Mayor did not come here. These friends, who are also demanding accountability, are the witnesses," he adds, "About 20 minutes ago, a Metropolitan City police officer called us to the parking lot of the National Assembly while scolding us."

Activist E: adds that they are ready if the Metropolitan City wants to negotiate. He says that he demanded the police to call legal experts, urban management experts and street vendor representative friends within 30 minutes.

The activist adds that the officer replied angrily and said, "Then the Mayor won't meet you."
