Gold smuggling case: Testimony of 13 defendants taken

KATHMANDU, Sep 24: The testimony of 13 defendants in the case of 60 kg 700 grams of gold smuggled from Hong Kong has been taken. The defendants gave their testimony in the bench of Kathmandu District Court Justice Madhav Prasad Mainali.

The 13 defendants are Chinese citizens Yao Pucheng, Li Wen Tsung, Li Nengkai, Ding Sheng Fa, Lin Zeqiang, Tian Mi, Yang Wen, Thupting Tsering, Dawa Tsering, Harka Raj Rai, Rukmina Subba, Krishna Shrestha and Pushkar Raj Bhatta.

The Information Officer of the Kathmandu District Court, Dipak Dahal, informed that the testimony of the defendants was taken in four places in the District Court.

A total of 29 people, including 26 arrested and 3 absconding, have been made defendants in the gold smuggling case.
