COAS General Sharma leaves for India

KATHMANDU, Sep 24: The Chief of Army Staff General Prabhu Ram Sharma has departed for India. He left for India to participate in the 13th edition of the Indo-Pacific Army Chiefs’ Conclave (IPACC) which is going to be held from the 25th to the 27th of September in New Delhi.

The Directorate of Military Public Relations and Information informed that COAS General Sharma was bid farewell at the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) by Vice COAS Lieutenant General Saroj Pratap Rana. Generals, office bearers of the Defense Ministry and military officers were present at the TIA to bid COAS General Sharma. Before departing to India, the COAS General was honored by a unit of army troops at the Army Headquarters on Sunday.

In the absence of the COAS General, Vice COAS Lieutenant General Rana will handle the responsibilities as the acting COAS General. COAS General Sharma is scheduled to return to Nepal on the 28th of September.
