Pension-denied and Relief teachers to protest vigorously from today

KATHMANDU, Sep 24: The relief teachers and pension-denied teachers will protest more vigorously from today. The Central committees of the relief teachers as well as the pension-denied teachers informed of the continuation of their protest movement through their press releases.

In a press release issued by the Central Committee of Nepal Relief Teachers, it is stated that the agreement signed between the Confederation of Nepalese Teachers (CNT) and the government on September 22 has dehumanized the general teaching staff and it has been decided to continue the agitation for the permanent management of all relief teachers against the agreement. A protest was also held on Saturday from Maitighar to New Baneshwar.

As it has been decided to proceed in cooperation with all the teachers, child development teachers and school staff including the various struggle committees to perform more vigorously on Sunday, the committee has requested all the teaching staff to be present at the Maitighar Mandala at 10:30 am today.

Similarly, the Central Struggle Committee of the Pension-denied Teachers has also informed that it has been decided to continue the agitation until the demands and issues of all teachers are addressed by the government.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the agreement reached between the government and CNT on Friday, the relief teachers had announced the continuation of their protest.
