Prime Minister Prachanda arrives in China

PM to meet President Xi Jinping today

CHINA, Sep 23: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has arrived in China to participate in the opening ceremony of the 19th Asian Games.

Prachanda arrived in China at 10:10 Chinese time on Saturday morning. He was welcomed by the Nepalese Ambassador to China, Bishnu Pukar Shrestha, and other Chinese officials at the International Airport of Hangzhou.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou on the first day of his visit. He is also going to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping later today.

Prachanda flew to China from the United States after he attended the United Nations General Assembly in New York. He is scheduled to meet with his Chinese counterpart Li Qiang in Beijing on September 25.

The Prime Minister's China visit will last one week. He will return to Nepal on September 30 after visiting Hangzhou, Beijing, Chongqing, Tibet and Chengdu.
