Negotiations between Gov’t and teachers start
KATHMANDU, Sep 22: Negotiations have started between the government and the protesting teachers at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The demands put forth by the teachers are being discussed. In the negotiation, teachers have been given time to put their opinions, after which, the government team will put their opinion from the side of the government.
The teachers started the protest movement on the 20th of September, Wednesday, expressing their dissatisfaction with the School Education Bill that was registered in the parliament secretariat. The teachers have put forward an 18-point demand for amendment in the current Bill. The teachers have continued the negotiations as well as their protests.
