Chief of Army Staff General Sharma going to India to participate in Indo-Pacific Army Chiefs’ Conclave
KATHMANDU, Sep 21: The Chief of Army Staff General of Nepal Army Prabhu Ram Sharma is going to India to participate in the 13th edition of the Indo-Pacific Army Chiefs’ Conclave (IPACC) which is going to be held from the 25th to the 27th of September in New Delhi. The Directorate of Military Public Relations and Information stated on Thursday that Commander-in-Chief Sharma will be leaving for India on the 24th of September.
The 47th Indo-Pacific Armies Management Seminar scheduled to be held during the IPACC conference will be attended by Major General Yograj Sharma and Colonel Basanta Bahadur Gautam, while Chief Warrant Officer Ratna Bahadur Thapa Magar will also be present in the visiting team to participate in the 9th Senior Enlist Leader Forum.
The Army has clarified that the Chief of Army Staff General is going to participate in the regularly held conference as per the decision of the Council of Ministers on September 9.
The team led by the Chief of Army Staff General is scheduled to return home on September 28 after participating in the conference which is being organized jointly by the armies of India and the United States of America.
The Nepali Army, through a press release, believes that participating in the program which is held regularly, will further help in the development of harmonious relations between the military organizations of the friendly countries and provide a suitable opportunity for sharing knowledge and experience on matters of common interest in human security.
