Supreme Court gives mandate to designate headquarters in suitable place

KATHMANDU, Sep 13: The Supreme Court has issued a mandate against the decision of the then government to make Putha Uttarganga (Golkhada) the headquarters of the Rukum East.

In the hearing on Wednesday, the Supreme Court overruled the decision of the Cabinet and issued a mandate to the government to appoint the headquarters at a suitable place after completing the legal process.

A writ was filed on 29th January 2018 in the Supreme Court against the decision made by the then Sher Bahadur Deuba-led government.
