Gold smuggling case: CIB takes testimony from BIDH Lab owner

KATHMANDU, Sep 10: The Central Investigation Bureau has taken the testimony of the BIDH Lab owner, Bhimkant Bhandari, in the case of smuggling of 60 kg and 716 grams of gold.
The CIB took his testimony after he was found to be involved with the Belgian citizen Dawa Chhiring who had been arrested earlier.
A team of the Department of Revenue Investigation seized 60 kg of gold from a brake shoe after it was smuggled from the Tribhuvan International Airport. The gold was smuggled from Hong Kong and was seized from Sinamangal on July 19.
The CIB is currently investigating the gold smuggling case. With this, the number of people arrested in the case has reached 30.
