PM Modi has announced the end of the summit and formally handed over the G20 presidency to Brazil President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva at the closing ceremony of the annual grouping summit held in New Delhi this weekend.

Brazil's President Lula said during its tenure, that the country would work to "build a fair world and a sustainable planet".

As the summit ended, Modi proposed a virtual G20 meeting in November while the presidency still remains with India to "sum up and take stock" of the resolutions of the summit.
