Sandeep Lamichhane: Court issues order to submit victim's documents
KATHMANDU, Sep 9: The Court has issued an order to submit additional documents related to the victim's birth certificate in the rape case against cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane.
The bench of Justice Shakuntala Karki has ordered the submission of the migration records of the victim girl. The victim's family had migrated from Kathmandu to Nuwakot on 2069/10/15 BS.
The court has issued the order to submit the documents that were submitted to Kathmandu's local level during the migration.
The court has issued an order to submit the records within seven days for continuous hearing of the case.
Earlier, the case's final hearing was scheduled for the 27th of August, but it could not be heard. Following that, Lamichhane went to Pakistan to play in the Asia Cup on August 28.
After the Supreme Court ordered that the case be heard quickly, the Kathmandu District Court set the date of the final hearing on September 7. The rape case against Sandeep was scheduled for hearing in the bench of Justice Shakuntala Karki in the Kathmandu District Court.
