14 injured in road accident at Pepsicola
KATHMANDU, Sep 3: Fourteen people have been injured in a road accident that took place at Pepsicola of Kathmandu this morning.
Fourteen people were injured in the accident that took place at 7.30 this morning when a bus (Ba 3 Kha 4848) from Jadibuti towards Pepsicola collided with a jeep (Ba. 6 Cha.5342) coming from the opposite direction, said a spokesperson of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, Superintendent of Police (SP) Kumod Dhungel.
A scooter (Bagmati Province No. 02-037 Pa 5311) and a motorcycle (Bagmati Province No. 02-041 Pa 4838) also collided following the collision between the two vehicles.
According to SP Dhungel, eight of the injured are undergoing treatment at Motherland Hospital in Pepsicola while six are admitted at Civil Hospital in New Baneshwar. The bus driver involved in the accident, 24-year-old Janak Raut of Ramechhap, has been detained by the police.
