CIB of opinion to not file case against Communication Secretary Raut
KATHMANDU, Aug 22: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has opined not to file a case against Communication Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut in the Lalita Niwas Case.
The CIB suggested the District Government Attorney’s Office Kathmandu not make Raut a defendant while it has made 238 people defendants.
After Raut was arrested by the police in the land embezzlement case, the joint bench of Justices Prakash Kumar Dhungana and Nahakul Subedi gave an order in favour of Raut to fight the case from outside the jail.
The court, however, has barred Raut from leaving Nepal until the investigation is completed and an order is given by the court.
