Lalita Niwas case: CIB submits investigation report to Government Attorney Office
KATHMANDU, Aug 22: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Police has submitted the investigation report on the Lalita Niwas case to the Government Attorney Office.
SSP Dinesh Acharya told Ratpati that the investigation report with opinion was submitted to the Government Attorney Office on Tuesday.
The Bureau submitted the report after 57 days of investigation related to the case of misappropriation of government land inside “Lalita Niwas camp” in Baluwatar.
The investigation so far has concluded that the documents of Lalita Niwas have been seized four times, including in the years 2049, 2062, 2066 and 2069 BS. It has been found out that the 147 ropani of government land has been registered in the name of someone else through illegal means.
The CIB also took the testimony of former Prime Ministers, Madhav Kumar Nepal and Dr Baburam Bhattarai, before submitting the report. They also took the testimony of former Deputy PM Bijay Kumar Gachhadar and former ministers Chandra Dev Joshi and Sanjay Shah ‘Takala’.
