Lalita Niwas case: CIB yet to submit research report
KATHMANDU, Aug 20: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has been investigating the case of misappropriation of government land inside "Lalita Niwas camp" in Baluwatar for 55 days.
They have yet to submit the research report on the case although preparations were made to submit the report to the District Attorney's Office on Sunday.
Achyutmani Neupane, the Chief of the Kathmandu District Public Prosecutor's Office, told Ratopati that they have yet to receive the investigation report of the Lalita Niwas case. "It [the report] has not come yet, there is no possibility of it coming today", said Neupane.
The investigation so far has concluded that the documents of Lalita Niwas have been seized four times, including in the years 2049, 2062, 2066 and 2069 BS. It has been found out that the 147 ropani of government land has been registered in the name of someone else through illegal means.
The Bureau has 18 people on the charge of misappropriating government land. There is a provision to file a case against the accused within 60 days of arrest.
