Speaker to discuss with chief whips of Ruling and Opposition parties before parliament meeting

KATHMANDU, Aug 20: Speaker Devraj Ghimire is going to discuss with the chief whips of the ruling parties and the opposition parties regarding removing the obstruction of the parliament.

Speaker Ghimire has called the chief whips at 11 am at the office of the Speaker in Singha Darbar for this. Speaker Ghimire is going to discuss with the chief whips before the House of Representatives meeting called for 1 pm.

The Speaker’s Secretariat has informed that chief whips from Nepali Congress, CPN Maoist Center, CPN UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party and Rastriya Prajatantra Party will be participating in the discussion. 

CPN UML has been continuously obstructing the parliament demanding the formation of an investigation committee in the recent gold smuggling scandal.
