15-year-old gang rape case: Case filed to police after pregnancy

DOLPA, Aug 19: A case has been filed against 9 people on the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl in Dolpa.

Police Chief of Dolpa, Shiva Budhathoki, informed Ratopati that three people have been arrested after the case was filed. This incident is reported to be from 6 months ago.

"The girl is currently pregnant", Budhathoki said, "When the family found out about the baby in her stomach, her relatives filed a case."

According to Budhathoki, the investigation process started after receiving the complaint that nine people gang-raped a girl in Jagdulla Rural Municipality.

One person from Mugu and two people from Jumla have been arrested in the case. The Police have been searching for the remaining six people who are absconding.

The names of the arrestees have not been disclosed by the Police.
